Train your Bot to tell your Story

The contrarian relationship between human and Bot must have a purpose.

Why am I returning to train my Bot - what is the outcome? What keeps drawing me back to continue to feed my Bot with stories, dreams and ideas? Why do I CARE about my Bot?

'Cause my Bot will tell my story - it'll let others know what I wanna say - what I really care about. The relationship between me and my Tamagotchi pet, my Puppet and I, my own little piece of technology - under my control - is the dream of every creative person.

Since the dawn of time (Wo)man has conquered over Machine to improve her life, to move heavy objects to market, to stem the flow of water to create reservoirs, to capture the energy of water to grind wheat into flour. Controlling technology has symbolized (Wo)man's progress in our journey towards building Civilization.

The oldest example we have of (Wo)man expressing ourselves are the Cave Paintings of Lascaux. These wall paintings are estimated to be 17,000 years old.

The oldest examples of what we're calling our Instigate Bots is the "Venus of Hohle Fels" - a Venus ivory figurine, standing 2.4 in tall (6 cm.) It is estimated this figurine is at least 35,000 years old.

Humans have been using technology to tell our stories - from the beginning.  We worshiped the women who birthed our children and watched over our families. We depicted the animals we slew to feed those families.

(Wo)man's journey and the stories surrounding those adventures needed to be captured, depicted and those stories told.  How different is that from Blogging or YouTube videos?

Bots are our new chisel and paintbrush.

Bots are our modern day form of story telling - which involve others, taking interactivity and collaboration to a new era.

We don't have to think of Bots as just another form of commerce or marketing.  Bots can be HOW we express ourselves, how we tell our stories.

Layered Horses on the cave walls of Lascaux showed a sophisticated cumulative form of story telling.  It is thought that each animal depicted represented a different hunt - a new story to be told.
